Well, a recent long walk that I took with a friend of mine was a journey to Kanas in Xinjiang Province during the National Day holiday this year. We were so excited that we finally had the chance to hike in there, especially in Kanas Lake, which is classified as a 5A scenic area in China. We wanted to witness the whole spectacular sights of Kanas Lake, so we made a detailed road itinerary. We hiked around the lake on one of the walking trails for about 5 hours.

What springs to mind was a beach we stopped at along the way. We even found the time to witness the sunset. I really enjoyed the tranquility of Kanas after the hustle and bustle of big cities. The scenery was stunning with wonderful reflections on the lake of the beautiful hills that surround Kanas Lake. All in all, the journey was something out of this world. What we saw during the way well explained the beauty of Xinjiang, but the whole experience was exhausting.
